The Albright United Methodist Church has a long tradition of its women members being a vital part of the church's ministry. We currently have two United Methodist Women (UM Women) groups known as "circles" - the Omega Alpha Circle and Katie Dids Circle. The UM Women are very supportive of the outreach mission of the church and the District. We sponsor caring meals for grieving families of the church, help with fund raising events, sponsor the annual mother daughter dinner, assist with prayers for church members in need, among other things..
The Omega Alpha women's group usually meets the second Monday of each month at 4 p.m. The Katie Dids, named in memory of Katie Tyson who had been a district officer and was very active for Women's organizations in the church) meet the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. We invite women of ALL ages to join us.
Currently Elsie Beal is president of the United Methodist Women and leads the Omega Alphas Group. Marilyn Banks leads the Katie Dids Group.
